SLAGHENAUF  (ITALY)

The cemetery is located in the village of Slagenauf which is off road 349 Vogolo Vattaro - Lavaronne road. 

The area of Lavaronne was the Austro-Hungarian base for the 'Strafexpedition' against Italy. Nearby are the remains of a Command Ceneter and the fort of Belvedere. Slaghenauf contained a large hospital (see photo below) and the cemetery is a result of this.
